01 · the stuck state

Stuck in a state you can't get out of?

You wake up with no energy. The things that used to bring you joy have lost their taste. Your mind says move, but your body won't.

You've already tried

supplements coffee after coffee motivation from YouTube a sport you gave up on

…but nothing changes the state within.

It's not that you're weak. Not that you "don't want it enough."

Your nervous system is locked in survival mode.

50% less

inflammation than the control group

Volunteers trained in the method were injected with a bacterial toxin that normally floors you with flu-like symptoms. They stayed calm and reined in their own immune response, something we were told you can't consciously touch.

~500%

jump in noradrenaline from the cold

Noradrenaline is your natural focus-and-mood chemistry, the clear, awake feeling people chase with coffee. In one study a cold plunge sent it up fivefold, without the crash.

Cold wakes up brown fat, the tissue that burns energy to make heat. It's part of why you leave the ice warm and switched on rather than drained.

07 · first time?

You don't need to be ready. Just show up.

Most people arrive a little nervous and leave grinning. Here's the honest version of your first time.

What if I've never done anything like this?

No experience needed. You go at your own pace and never push past what feels right. Beginners are the norm, not the exception.

What if the cold is too much for me?

It's guided, never forced. Huseyin walks you in step by step, and most people surprise themselves with how calm it feels.

Will I be the odd one out?

It's a small, warm group. Around ten people from every background. No performance, no judgement, no bootcamp energy.

What if I'm left cold and drained?

You won't leave cold or hungry. A sauna to warm up, and a warm meal together after the ice. It's as much about the people as the practice.

Questions people ask

Do I need any experience?
No. Beginners are the norm, not the exception. Most people arrive a little nervous and leave grinning. You go at your own pace and never push past what feels right for you.
How cold is the ice bath, and is it safe?
The water sits around 2 to 4°C. You are guided the whole way and assisted in and out, so it is never forced. It is not recommended during pregnancy, or with epilepsy or a heart condition. If any of those apply to you, message us before you book.
What actually happens during the day?
A full Saturday, 10:00 to 16:00. We start with the theory and guided breathing, then the ice bath with assistance, then the sauna, and a warm lunch together. No rush. People often stay well past the end just to hang out.
What should I bring?
A swimsuit and a towel, warm comfortable clothes for afterwards, slippers for indoors, and a bottle of water. Come on an empty stomach if you can, with your last meal 2 to 3 hours before.
Where are you, and how do I get there?
At the Truva Foundation in Săftica, about 30 minutes from Bucharest. There is a map on the booking page. Message us on WhatsApp and we will help you get there, and you can often travel together with other participants.
Who can attend?
Everyone is welcome, whatever your fitness level or experience. We also run women-only workshops for anyone who would rather start that way.
What does it cost, and can I cancel?
It is €70 per person for newcomers, for the full day. Plans change, so you get a full refund or a reschedule up to 48 hours before the workshop.
